My journey start here...
Associate UX Designer
at Payment team
August 2018
My first cross-team project as...
Senior Product Designer
at Category and Browse team
July 2019
In July 2019, I was given the opportunity to design a new user experience for Tokopedia's Trade In (Tukar Tambah) feature. It required me to collaborate with stakeholders and third-party partners to create a user-centric experience. I was excited and terrified in equal measure, but I knew that this was an opportunity I could not pass up.
My first challenge as...
(Unofficial) Product Design Manager
at Campaign team
October 2019
In October 2019, I led the redesign of the Flash Sale and improved seller participation. I enhanced the design experiences for various campaigns and releases. I collaborated closely with cross-functional leaders, shifting the design culture.
Transitioning into a (challenge) product design manager role presented new challenges, but I was determined to succeed. I managed the project and led my team, emphasizing open communication and collaboration. I ensured my team had the necessary resources and support.
I regularly held team meetings to monitor progress, resolve issues, and align with project goals. I also focused on improving my leadership skills, learning to delegate, provide feedback, and motivate the team.
The challenge period needs to continue, but as...
(Unofficial) Product Design Principal
at Digital Goods team
July 2022 - March 2023
Despite not initially rising to the role of product design manager at Tokopedia, I was given a challenge period to prove myself, during which I returned to a product-focused role as a product design principal. This was a strategic move to improve my skills and understanding of product design.
From July 2022 to March 2023, I led the development of digital goods design principles and libraries, and worked on the top-up and bill management for digital goods.
In my performance review, the leadership commended my contributions as a Senior Product Designer and saw potential for me to make a greater impact. Thus, they extended my challenge period as a Product Design Principal.
This extension provided me an opportunity to refine my skills, understand the company's needs better, and gain a broader perspective on our projects, our users' needs, and how to influence our products' design direction.
It's not an easy journey, so I've decided to go back as...
Senior Product Design at
Shared Consumer Platforms team
October 2019
Moved to the Share Platform Consumer team in 2023, I had the opportunity to shape the future of our platforms and contribute significantly to the company's success.
My biggest challenge was applying GoTo design principles to major projects like Gojek, GoPay, and Tokopedia. Here, I focused on improving GoTo product design, including unified location, verification, profile, and OneKYC.
Absolutely cinema, so I continue as…
Senior Product Designer at Accounts and User Platform team
Jan 2024 - Present
In early 2024, a significant event unfolded - GoTo sold Tokopedia to ByteDance. This transition required a complete reevaluation and refinement of all ongoing GoTo projects. During this period, I was able to deliver impactful contributions, yet they were not deemed sufficient by the leadership of the Tokopedia design team for me to ascend to the role of Product Design Principal.
I had to confront the reality that I needed more time to grow and develop before assuming such a pivotal role. In light of this, I transitioned to the Accounts and User Platform team. This move was strategic, aiming to assist the integration project between Tokopedia and TikTok Shop Indonesia, a challenging task that presented a new set of opportunities for learning and growth.
And now, since January 2024, I've been designing experiences for the Accounts and User Platform team at Tokopedia and Shop | Tokopedia (TikTok Shop Indonesia). My core responsibilities involve developing and implementing solutions focused on our platform users' needs and preferences.
“Throughout my journey, I've faced many challenges and obstacles. But I've faced each one with determination and resilience. I've learned, grown, and evolved both as a product designer and as a person. And I'm proud to say that I'm a stronger, more skilled designer because of it.”
